Shimla. A controversy has arisen over the statement given by Himachal Pradesh Mandi MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on the farmers’ movement. Kangana is facing severe criticism for this statement. The BJP has also distanced itself from this statement and has given strict instructions to Kangana Ranaut.
Now Himachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister Vikramaditya Singh, who contested against Kangana Ranaut from Mandi Lok Sabha seat, has also condemned this statement of Kangana Ranaut. He has also asked Kangana to apologize to the farmers. Vikramaditya Singh said on Tuesday that he strongly condemns Kangana Ranaut’s wrong statement on the farmers’ movement in Haryana. Her statement is not based on facts. Singh said that Kangana Ranaut should be careful before speaking on such sensitive issues.
He said that such statements are an insult to the struggle and sacrifice of the farmers. Especially when the Prime Minister has already withdrawn the black laws made against the farmers. In such a situation, this statement of Kangana Ranaut is unacceptable and she should apologize to the farmers for such insensitive and divisive statements.
Actually Kangana Ranaut had said that in the farmers’ movement, corpses were hanging, rapes were happening. The farmers’ bill was withdrawn, which shocked the country. This was a long-term planning, like what happened in Bangladesh. Foreign powers like China and America are working here. Kangana Ranaut had said that if our top leadership was not strong, then what happened in Bangladesh would not have taken long to happen here.
