Bhopal: Ram Swaroop Yadav, Pattu Bagel and Guda Bagel from Sheopur District, Madhya Pradesh. All three have been missing for four days.
In this situation, it was recently revealed to the villagers that the three of them were kidnapped by a criminal gang operating from the neighboring state of Rajasthan. The kidnappers have threatened that all of them will be released only if they pay Rs 15 lakh. Subsequently, all the villagers are working together to collect money to rescue them.
Ramji Bagel from the abductee’s village said: Our village has poor families. Most of them are goat and cow breeders. Even the abductees were poor farmers. Their house does not even have a proper roof. In such a situation, I don’t know how we are going to pay Rs.15 lakh for their release. However, we are working to collect as much money as we can and hope to rescue the abductees safely. This is what he said.
Sheopur SP Alok Kumar Singh said, “The reward for information about the traffickers has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000. We are working with the Rajasthan Police to rescue the abductees,” he said.
Trafficking gangs operating from Rajasthan target the Gwalior-Sambal border districts of MP and are often involved in such incidents. A few months ago, the abducted farmer was released after paying bail. A reward of Rs 1.25 lakh has been announced for the head of the smuggling gang and he is said to be indulging in such smuggling activities without being caught.
