Vinesh Phogat was to play her gold medal match against a USA wrestler at 12:45 tonight but now she is out of the entire match in which she will not even get a silver medal. After Vinesh Phogat’s exit, a statement has been issued by the Indian Olympic Association in which they said that it is very disappointing news that Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who was to play the gold medal match in the 50 kg freestyle category, has been disqualified before this match due to being overweight.

Vinesh Phogat, who was disqualified from the gold medal match, will now neither be able to win a gold medal nor a silver medal as her weight was found to be about 100 grams more in the 50 kg category.
