Raipur: It has been reported that Vishnu Deo Sai will take office as Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on 13th. In the recently concluded assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, the BJP won 54 out of 90 seats and qualified to form the government. The ruling Congress won only 35 seats. After BJP’s victory, a meeting of the party’s legislators was held yesterday (Sunday). In this meeting, Vishnu Deo Sai was elected as the leader of the party’s legislators.
Subsequently, Vishnu Deo Sai met Governor Biswabhushan Harishandan and claimed the right to form the government by giving a letter of support from the legislators. Following this, the governor invited him to form the government. In this case, officials have said that Vishnu Deo Sai is going to take over the post tomorrow (Wednesday).
It is learned that his cabinet along with Vishnu Deo Sai will be sworn in on the same day and the swearing-in ceremony will be held at Science College Grounds in Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Natta and others are expected to visit.
