SOS Bihać is a humanitarian organization that helps people in social need. They are on the field every day. There are numerous actions behind them, and their only mission is to help the vulnerable, so that these people know that they are not alone and forgotten. This week, due to the floods that hit the Una-Sana Canton, they are constantly on the ground helping people in flooded areas, reports Anadolia.
“I sowed everything, I have nothing, this is the second flood, it was also in December, thank God. If I could save, I would save, it will be as it will be,” says Bekir Omerdić from Klisa as SOS volunteers bring him food and drinking water.
During the floods in Una-Sana Canton, SOS volunteers are the only bright spot for citizens.
“The situation is calming down, which does not mean that the end is only now followed by cleaning, disinfection. The suits of our guys are proof of how dirty it is, and how it is only now in the houses. We had no casualties, thank God, we worked 24 hours a day to build the embankments to protect human property. We succeeded, thanks to the help of citizens, citizens from all over BiH contacted us. Thank you to everyone who participated in these actions and, simply, let’s be more people,” explains Zlatan Kovačević, president of the SOS Bihać organization.
The SOS organization particularly expressed itself during the migrant crisis, and the first were BiH. an organization that came to the war zone of Ukraine.
The SOS organization says that their sole mission is to help those in need, regardless of nationality, religion, race or social status.
