I can’t sleep every night because I know what happens at night in the north of Kosovo, literally everything is boiling, children aged 12, 13 and 14 are ready to die, and we have to prevent that, they are fed up with Aljbin Kurti and all possible lies, he said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is in Belgrade today, Anadolia (AA) reports.
Vučić told a press conference after the meeting with the President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, that Serbian children aged 12 in Leposavic “chased the cars” of the Kosovo security forces in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, and stressed that “no one will suffer anymore” from the Kosovo security forces. , “nor their terror”.
“It is a terribly difficult situation for us, we are trying to preserve peace at almost any cost, but we are dealing with people who want no peace at any cost. We have to fight and trust in common sense. I hope that the European Union and the United States to have enough strength to reason with those who behave irrationally,” said Vučić.
Speaking about the arrest of three border police officers, members of the Kosovo Police, which took place on Wednesday, and which Pristina claims were abducted from the territory of Kosovo, Vučić said that Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti himself admitted that those arrested violated all norms of international law.
Vučić reminded that Kurti said that those arrested were inside Kosovo, 300 meters from the administrative line between Serbia and Kosovo, and emphasized that members of the Kosovo Police have no right and must not be there according to the Military-Technical Agreement because when they want to come within a kilometer administrative line, they must report it to KFOR 36 hours in advance.
The Serbian president asked what the Kosovo police officers were looking for at the place where they were arrested with the long pipes, i.e. whether they wanted to “kill someone who wanted to transfer Coca-Cola or a bottle of sour water” across the administrative line, “or to extort them.” and take half”.
Vučić said that it is “disgusting for him to make excuses for stupid things” because during that arrest “no one was beaten and nothing happened”.
He assessed that it was a “routine job” of the Serbian law enforcement agencies and pointed out that it has never happened before that members of the Serbian Armed Forces or the Serbian police cross the administrative line “because they have a direct order to do so”.
Speaking about the protests demanding responsibility for the eruption of hate speech and violence in Serbia that led to two mass murders at the beginning of May, Vučić said that Serbia is trying to take over the best democratic achievements of the European Union.
“The only thing we did not undertake was to kill God in the demonstrators, we cannot do that and we will not do it, we will avoid it until the last moment,” emphasized Vučić.
Addressing the President of Slovenia directly, Vučić pointed out that in Serbia the freedom of the media is such that he “should answer every day whether he is Hitler or Mussolini”, adding that he is already getting used to it and said that he “doesn’t want that level” for her. freedom”.
The President of Slovenia appealed to respect the law and that everyone should work together for the rule of law.
“Undoubtedly, I would like to see the implementation of the agreement on the establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities in Kosovo as soon as possible. It was agreed back in 2013 and I see no reason why it should not be implemented,” said Pirc Musar.
She pointed out that in these difficult moments for Belgrade and Pristina, dialogue is the only real way to a solution and calm the situation.
“For that, both sides are needed and Kosovo must do its part. In October, I will travel to Pristina and there I will discuss their positions with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. The position of the European Union and Slovenia is clear – dialogue, once again dialogue and dialogue. We do not want conflicts in the region of the Western Balkans. I think that the planned path should be clear, it is the approach to Europe, European values, the rule of law and human rights. We believe in Europe,” emphasized Pirc Musar.
She added that she really wants the countries of the Western Balkans to do the work related to joining the European Union.
Pirc Musar stated that she hopes that these countries will join the “big European family that respects the diversity of languages and cultures”.
She emphasized that she thinks that Serbia “has no reservations” on this issue and that she knows that the Serbian language will be one of the official languages of the European Union.
Pirc Musar said that the relationship between Belgrade and Pristina is extremely important for the entire region of the Western Balkans, “which will have to show how mature we all are together to calm the tension”.
Addressing Vučić, she emphasized that “demonstrations in all countries are a legitimate act and part of democracy” and added that what the media reports on is freedom of expression.
Pirc Musar said that media freedom is part of democracy and that “we also need to work on that”, and added that protests are also part of democracy, stating that there are protests in Slovenia as well, not only in Belgrade.
