In a video posted on TikTok,
Walmart customer claims store workers tried to charge her more than $92 for a pair of pants which were actually priced at $4.
In the TikTok video, the shopper, who identifies herself as Chyna (@cottoncandied), recounts finding a pair of faux leather pants in the Walmart sale section.
The pants didn’t have a price tag on them and Chyna didn’t want to spend too much, so she asked the locker room attendant to find the price of the pants for her.
When Chyna checked with the clerk, the clerk told her the value of the pants was $4, so she decided to purchase them. When she went to pay, she told the cashier that the pants didn’t have a tag, but another clerk had told her they were $4.
However, when the cashier keyed in the item’s barcode herself, she found a very different price.
“She said ‘it’s $92.47’ and I said ‘no, it’s not that. And the people behind me got upset because I questioned this lady that, supposedly just by typing in a number, a pair of pants at Walmart is already $92.

Chyna asked the cashier if she could buy the pants from Walmart customer service, since she didn’t think their price was $92 and wanted to make sure.
According to what Chyna said, the cashier escorted her to customer service in an unfriendly manner and explained what had happened to the clerk there.
So the customer service clerk entered the item’s barcode and got the same result: $92.47.
In order to fix the problem, the two workers contacted the locker room clerk, who had previously told Chyna that the pants were worth $4. It was then that he entered a number and the real price of the pants was revealed: $4 dollars.
Turns out the two people who told me it was $92 didn’t put a zero in front of the number or something.. So I paid for my $4 pants and left, but it was like I was called a thief and a liar all the time,” Chyna concluded.
