Walmart announced that it has partnered with Khan Academy to offer a new free financial education course for its associates, clients and communities.
It is a virtual course made up of articles, videos and exercises to master personal financial skills, which can help strengthen financial capabilities, reduce stress and make decisions leading to a healthier financial future.
“With a 72% reported that Americans felt stressed about money in the past monthwe know that providing access to personal financial resources is more important now than ever,” Walmart said in a statement.
And the retailer added: “We know that if someone is experiencing financial stress, it can lead to significant physical and emotional health issues, such as heart disease, depression, and more; everything is connected. That is why we have been and continue to be focused on providing access to tools and resources to support total wellness.”
The course covers several key financial topics, including:
Budget and savings
· Consumer credit
· Financial goals
Loans and debt
· Sure
· Investments and retirement
Scams and fraud
· Careers and education
· Taxes
