Walmart, the supermarket chain known for its variety and affordable prices, is expanding its culinary offering with an exotic and healthy proposal through a partnership with Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar.
In this way, Walmart introduces a unique dining experience in its stores that combines the convenience of shopping with the flavor of Hawaiian cuisine.
Walmart announced the opening of ten new Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar locations in its stores in California over the next five months.
Additionally, it has expansion plans that include three additional locations within Walmart stores in Utah.
Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar now has more than a dozen locations in California, Utah, Hawaii and Texasincluding three locations that already operate inside Walmart stores in California.
These bars offer a variety of poke bowls, including seafood options, and vegetarian alternatives.
The first bar inside a Walmart store opened its doors in the city of Vacaville, California, in early October.
The inclusion of fast food restaurants inside stores is not new for Walmart.
And the company has already made partnerships with chains such as McDonald’s, Subway, Charleys Philly Steaks, Domino’s, Taco Bell and Wendy’s.
At the end of 2023, Walmart announced an investment of more than $9 billion dollars to modernize and improve 1,400 of its stores.
This renovation is part of Walmart’s strategy to reinvent itself, not only as a discount center, but as a more versatile store that offers a wide range of services and products beyond groceries.
