Wapsa Organized 'Snehadaram' For Those Who Have Passed A Quarter Of A Century Of Exile

Doha: An association of residents of Vatanapally in Thrissur district organized the second anniversary of Vatanapally Pravasi Secular Pravasi Association. It was organized as part of the program to honor the members who have passed a quarter of a century in exile. The meeting held at ICC Ashoka Hall was presided over by Wapsa President KV Premjith. This year’s Onam celebration was also very elaborate.

ICC President AP Manikandan inaugurated the Paripachi. Inaugurating the program, ICC President AP Manikandan said that this is the greatest honor given to those who have been in exile for decades after rendering invaluable services to the pulse of the country. ISC President EP Abdurrahman, ICPF ICBF President Shanawaz Bawa, ICCICC Managing Committee Members Jafar Khan, Abraham Joseph, ICBF ICBF Managing Committee Member Abdur Rauf Kondoti were also present in the program.

After a quarter of a century of exile, 80 members of Vatanapalli residents were presented with ‘Snehadaram’ gift. There were programs performed by various artistes. PM Khalid, an expatriate who came from the country to participate in the Wapsa Sangam and who is well-known among expatriates for his activities in the field of art, society and culture, was felicitated by Ponnadu. General Secretary Jalal Aynikal welcomed and Treasurer Yunus Hanifa gave vote of thanks. A sumptuous Ona feast was prepared for over 600 people. The organizers informed that the aim of Wapsa is to take care of the members in exile and to stay together for the good of the country, unity and harmony.

Mia Bazaar, which started on Friday, October 20, will be open on every Friday and Saturday till March 9. Various programs are held here.
