Zelensky travels to Canada to meet with Trudeau and speak before Parliament
The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, traveled to Canada this Thursday, where he will meet with the country’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and will address Parliament.
“Canada continues to fully support the Ukrainian people in their fight for sovereignty and democracy, as well as the values we share (…) I look forward to welcoming President Zelensky to Canada to continue consolidating our support for Ukraine and the people in its fight against the effects of Russia’s brutal war of aggression,” Trudeau said, according to a statement from his office.
The two leaders will sign several agreements that will further strengthen economic ties between both nations; In addition, Canada is committed to applying more economic sanctions to Russia. (EP)
