Bolpur: Vande Bharat Express is running between Howrah-New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. The service of this train was started recently. In this case, it is noteworthy that stone pelting incident has taken place for the third time targeting this train.
C14 box was damaged in this stone pelting which took place on Sunday. It is reported that none of the passengers were injured. As a result, Bharat train stopped at Bolpur railway station for about 10 minutes. Bharat train used to stop at this station only for 2 minutes.
This incident is reported to have taken place in Malta. Railway officials are investigating the matter.
The BJP has demanded an inquiry into the matter by the National Intelligence Agency. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated this train service on December 30 through video. The train covers a distance of 550 km between Howrah-Jalpaiguri and reaches its destination in about seven and a half hours. Operates 6 days a week except Wednesday.
