New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi’s mother Heeraben passed away yesterday at the age of 100. Prime Minister Modi returned to work from Delhi after paying homage to his mother at Vadnagar.
He flagged off the country’s 7th Vande Bharat train in Howrah, West Bengal through a video display. Despite the death of his mother, the Prime Minister immediately returned to work, surprising many.
In this case, Prime Minister Modi’s father Damodardas Moolchand Modi passed away in 1989. VHP General Secretary Dilip Trivedi has recalled the activities of Prime Minister Modi at that time.
Dileep said yesterday: In 1989, an important meeting of the BJP was organized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Just then, we got word that Modi’s father had passed away. He immediately went to Vadnagar. After that, there will be no situation where he will come to the party meeting. We all thought he would never come.
But after participating in his father’s funeral, Modi came to the party meeting in the afternoon. Everyone in the crowd was surprised to see him. After the party meeting, I spoke to Modi about coming to the meeting in the circumstances of his father’s death.
He said, “It is a duty to perform the last rites of the father. Similarly, it is my duty to fully fulfill my responsibilities in the party. His words were an inspiring moment for us and party workers. We have learned that we need a sense of commitment to perform our responsibilities and duties. VHP General Secretary Dilip Trivedi recalled this.
