Geral Garcia Saavedra, a former member of the Kaliente group from Iquitos, made thousands of Peruvians dance with “El embrujo”, a song composed by Estanis Mogollón. After earning a place in the music industry, the orchestra released new songs such as “Solo”, “Between hate and love”, “Vete de mí” and other hits that took it to tour national territory.
The cumbia group, which is directed by Rubén Sara Paredes, gained great popularity thanks to its catchy songs that came to sound on the radio and show programs in Peru. However, the vocalists gradually withdrew and one of them was Geral García. In this note, we tell you what the former interpreter of “El embrujo” does.

The natural artist from Tarapoto not only belonged to the Iquite group, but also decided to try his luck alone and created Geral and his Iquitos Super Kaliente Orchestra. In 2015, he returned to Kaliente, but his tenure did not last long, since two years later he reappeared with Geral and Orquesta Pasión Teenager; however, in early 2020, he resurfaced with Geral y la Hot Band.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021, the interpreter of “Malahierba” met with other musicians such as Toño Sosaya and Leonard León to perform a virtual concert organized by Luchito Chávez Producciones, in which he sang the famous song “El embrujo ”.
Geral García continued betting on participating in presentations via streaming, but this time the event was from Danitza Producciones, in which he shared the stage with Carlos Urresti, with whom he worked in the Papillón group.

In one of his publications, the artist recalled that at his short 14 years he began his musical career next to a small orchestra from his native Tarapoto, which opened many doors for him in singing because he was able to learn from his other classmates.

My beginnings in my musical artistic career in the group Aroma de Tarapoto, formed in my neighborhood with my childhood friend Richard Ríos, my older brother Rousbel Sueños, Daniel Arriola, Rony Fasanando, Omar Tejada, ‘Ricachin’ de la Cruz and in the direction, one of my teachers that I esteem and respect a lot, Llelbis Melbin Ríos, ex-singer of Sonido 2000. I will always love those beautiful experiences in my adolescence when I was only 14 years old, “he said.
