Karmen Muradas known as ‘La Nena de la Salsa’, is a singer, songwriter and industrial engineer of Cuban origin, considered one of the great promises of Latin music. She became known in Peru when she was part of the group Son Tentación, where she earned the admiration of many for her voice and her sensual movements. Some even compared her to Yahaira Plasencia.
Who is Karmen Muradas?
Karmen Muradas, an artist of Cuban-Colombian origin, was born on December 18 in Santiago de Cuba and began her artistic career at the age of 7, debuting on Cuban television as a presenter and singer on the Tele-Turquino channel. In 2008, she completed her training as a professional opera singer.
At the age of 19, Muradas became a two-time champion at the World Salsa Festival in Colombia, obtaining first place for the second consecutive time, in the Ensemble category (orchestra and dancers). For five consecutive years (2014-2018), she was the lead singer of the show El Mulato Cabaret in Cali, Colombia, directed by Luis Eduardo Hernández (El Mulato), choreographer for Jennifer Lopez.
On September 27, 2019, Karmen launched her official solo career with her first single ‘The best version of me’, under the @NuAmerica label of Sergio George and Sony Music Latin. And, in 2020, he published his first EP titled ‘Beginnings’.

In 2022, he offered his first concerts in Cuba, collaborating with the Cuban group Los 4 on songs such as ‘The Past Past’ and ‘Si Una vez’. In October of that year, they managed to record their first collaboration with Motiff, renowned producer of Marc Anthony and other great artists. To do this, Karmen traveled to Miami and, in two weeks, the recordings were completed. In 2024, he released his second EP, ‘Salsa Fresh 1.0’.
Among his most notable compositions are ‘Un raticobajo, Un raticoabove’ and ‘I don’t want commitment’, the latter in collaboration with Paula Arias and Son Tentación, an orchestra he joined after the departure of Suu Rabanal.

Although they both know they can’t be together, their attraction is undeniable, and she decides to seduce him with a daring proposal.
Karmen Muradas wrote the song during the pandemic, and the production was carried out by Motif. The artist commented that the collaboration was born from her admiration for the Cuban group Gente de Zona and their characteristic musical style. She had always dreamed that the producer of hits like ‘La Gozadera’ by Marc Anthony and ‘Creo en mí’ by Natalia Jiménez, could produce a song for her.
His first unreleased album is expected to be released in 2025, ‘Salsa Fresh 2.0’, again with the collaboration of the Venezuelan producer.
