Luis Manuel Valdiviezo Sánchez born on September 10, 1991 in Pacasmayo, La Libertad, is a prominent Peruvian singer of tropical music. Throughout his career, the northerner has demonstrated versatility and talent, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the Peruvian cumbia scene.
What is Luis Manuel’s career in cumbia?
He began his musical career in groups such as La Idéntica de Chepén and Hermanos Silva. In 2013, he participated in talent shows such as ‘Rojo fame contrafama’ and the first season of ‘La Voz Perú’, where he was part of Jerry Rivera’s team.
In 2015, he joined Grupo 5, one of the most recognized cumbia orchestras in the country. However, in 2019, he temporarily stepped away due to health issues. What is the life of Luis Manuel Valdiviezo?
In November 2024, after a period of absence from the stage and without being able to say goodbye to the stage with Grupo 5, Luis Manuel was announced as a new member of the Hermanos Yaipén, another prominent Peruvian cumbia group.
Just days after the announcement of the incorporation of Luis Manuel to Hermanos Yaipén, the group surprised by releasing ‘No se vale’, a new single with Colombian roots in the voice of Valdiviezo, who did not have that opportunity to record a song with Group 5.
This new song, composed by Camilo, addresses the end of a love relationship. In the narrative, one of the protagonists faces the reality that his ex-partner has quickly gotten over him, showing his happiness on social media with another person.
The official video for the song was recorded entirely in Colombia, specifically in the historic city of Cartagena de Indias. Among the featured locations are Getsemaní, the Clock Tower monument, and the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, among other emblematic settings. The audiovisual production was carried out by a team that has worked with recognized artists such as Galy Galiano and Grupo Niche.
It should be noted that ‘No se vale’ marks the debut of Luis Manuel as the new vocalist of the Yaipén Brothers. This talented singer, winner of the ‘La Voz Perú’ contest, has more than 15 years of experience in the music industry, having been part of other notable groups.
