In an official statement, the beauty pageant organization limited itself to indicating that the 19-year-old’s withdrawal was carried out after “an exhaustive evaluation.” However, the former contestant herself decided to provide more details through social networks, a few hours after her departure from the rally on November 1.
On its website, Miss Universe 2024 noted that the disciplinary commission opted for disqualification as the most appropriate decision after an audit of the case, adding that “confidentiality is essential” in this type of process. Mora, for his part, described the measure as “severe” and maintained that “It could have been solved with a dialogue or a call for attention” .
