WhatsApp is working on a new feature, users will be able to make calling shortcuts

San Francisco | Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to create calling shortcuts. With the new feature, it will be possible to create calling shortcuts by simply tapping on a contact cell in the list of contacts, reports WABTinfo.

Once created, the new calling shortcut will be automatically added to the home screen of users’ devices. This feature will be helpful for users who call the same person repeatedly and do not want to go through the same process again and again i.e. opening the application and searching for the contact every time.

The report adds that the ability to create calling shortcuts is in the works and will be released in a future update to the application.

Last month, it was reported that the messaging platform is working on a new feature that will allow users to send photos in their original quality.

The platform plans to integrate a new settings icon within the drawing tool header, which will allow users to shape the quality of any photo, giving them more control over the quality of the photo they’re sending, especially When it is necessary to send the photo in original quality.
