San Francisco. Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for some beta testers on iOS that lets users search messages by date.
The new feature allows users to easily jump to a specific date within a conversation, reports Wabateinfo. With the latest WhatsApp beta update for iOS 22.24.0.77, some beta testers can use this feature in their chats and groups.
Users need to use the search feature in the conversation if they want to check whether the new feature has been rolled out in their account or not.
If a calendar icon appears, it means that the feature is enabled on your WhatsApp account.
The report states that the feature will be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks.
Earlier this week, the messaging platform launched the ‘Forward media with caption’ feature on iOS, which allows users to forward images, videos, GIFs and documents with captions.
After downloading the WhatsApp for iOS 22.23.77 update from the App Store, some users were able to access the new feature.
Also, if one does not want to forward the caption, a dismiss button is provided to remove the caption from the image before forwarding the message.
