San Francisco. Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out a video message feature on iOS.
“You can now record and send instant video messages in chats,” the company said in the official changelog on Monday.
This feature can be accessed by tapping on the microphone icon in the chat to switch to video.
The platform is also rolling out support for screen sharing in video calls.
Users will see a new “Screen Share” button when they start a video call.
The company said that this feature will start rolling out in the coming weeks.
Last month, the messaging platform widely rolled out landscape mode support for video calls and unknown callers option on iOS.
Users can go to settings and click on the call option in privacy and silence unknown callers.
The platform also released the ability to seamlessly transfer full account history when switching to a new device.
This can be accessed by going to the Chats option in Settings and navigating to Transfer chats to iPhone.
A redesigned sticker tray with better navigation and a bigger set of stickers including more avatars were also launched.(IANS)
