San Francisco.Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature for Android beta that will allow users to discover new channels using filters. For the new feature, the platform will add a new section, which will allow users to search for particular channels, reports WABTinfo.
Users will be able to search for channels by entering the channel name in the new section.
In the new section, users will be able to search for channels based on three filters. These include Recently Added, Popularity, and Alphabetical Order.
The report adds that the feature to discover new channels is in the works and is expected to be released to beta testers in a future update.
Last month, it was reported that the messaging platform is working on a broadcast channel conversation for Android, which includes 12 new features.(IANS)
