San Francisco. Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced two new updates to its platform around ‘Polls’ and ‘Sharing with Captions’ to make chats a bit more fun and productive.
In polls, the company has introduced three options: Create single-vote polls, search for polls in your chats, and stay updated on poll results.
The company introduced a ‘Create Single-Vote Poll’ option for poll creators to allow people to vote only once.
Poll creators just need to turn off the Allow multiple answers option when creating a poll.
Since it is not always possible to respond to a poll immediately, the company introduced a ‘search your chat for polls’ option so that users can filter messages by polls, just as they would for photos, videos or links. We do.
On the chat screen, tap Search, then tap Polls to find a list of all results.
WhatsApp noted in a blogpost that with the ‘Stay updated on poll results’ option, users will now receive notifications when people vote on polls and will be shown the total number of people who have voted, so that they can easily respond to responses. But stay updated.
In addition, the company introduced the ‘Sharing with Caption’ feature, which will now allow users to forward media with captions.
When users forward media with captions, WhatsApp will now give them the option to keep, remove, or completely rewrite the caption to give additional information when sharing photos between chats.
Users can now also add captions to photos and videos while forwarding them.
Another new feature is the ability to add captions before sharing a document.
