The national beach soccer team continues its preparations to participate in the Asian Cup, which will be hosted by Pattaya, Thailand, from 16 to 26 March, with the participation of 16 teams, distributed into four groups.
During the coming period, the national team will play nine friendly matches within the ongoing preparations, starting with the Kuwaiti national team, which arrives in the country today, and faces our national team three times on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Then he will play three friendly matches against the Moroccan national team, and the same against the Russian national team, while daily training continues through which the technical staff aims to reach the highest levels of readiness before the start of the tournament.
It is noteworthy that the beach team plays in Group B of the Asian Cup, along with the teams: Iran, Malaysia and Uzbekistan. For his part, the director of the national team, Badr Hareb, announced that the national team will continue to prepare until the date of the tournament, indicating that the preparations are going well, and that the preparatory experiences that he will go through will greatly benefit the technical staff, especially as they are facing strong and experienced teams.
He said, “We were keen to provide strong preparatory matches for the national team so that the technical staff stands at the level of the players, and we look forward to getting out of them with great technical benefits, regardless of the results, because what is important in such matches is to gain more experience through contact with different football schools.”
