WHO: Death toll from Turkey and Syria earthquakes may rise above 20,000

The World Health Organization (WHO) fears that the death toll from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria could increase eightfold in the coming weeks. Catherine Smallwood, who is involved in emergencies in Europe on behalf of the WHO, told AFP when the total death toll from both countries was still at 2,600.
