One more Mexican in professional motorsports! Santiago Ramos joins the Trident team in Formula 3 (F3) for the 2024 season. The team and F3 itself made it official in a statement on December 21.
One more Mexican to F3! Santiago Ramos will be a Trident pilot
“It is with great joy and confidence that we welcome a young prospect like Santiago Ramos. We hope to do a great job with him and believe we have all the resources necessary to allow him to improve and make his way in motorsport. I am convinced that, together with Santiago, we will achieve our objectives“, declared Giacomo Ricci, team director Trident.
Santiago Ramos will team up with Leonardo Fornaroli and fellow rookie Sami Meguetounif.

Santiago Ramos is 19 years old, and as you read in his statement, he has been sponsored and supported by the Telmex team. He started in karting and moved to single-seaters in 2019, debuting with three rounds in F4. He was in that category until 2022, before making the jump to the European Regional Championship.
He spent two seasons in that branch, finishing in 11th place in the standings after reaching the podium once in his second year. Santiago Ramos will also join Noel León in F3, who was announced days before as the new driver for the Dutch Van Amersfoort Racing team.
