Mumbai: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has insisted that a parliamentary joint committee should be ordered to investigate the allegations of share embezzlement by the Adani Group.
‘India; Rahul Gandhi, who is in Mumbai to attend the 3rd meeting of the alliance, met the media on Thursday. He then said: “The OCCRP report has revealed that the Adani Group is involved in stock fraud. Two internationally renowned economic journals have reported on this and raised questions. It has been reported that crores of rupees from India have passed through various countries and returned to India. Whose money is this?” Adani’s or someone else’s?
Gautam Adhani’s brother Vinod Adhani and two foreigners along with him are involved. How were those two foreigners admitted? PM Modi has to prove that he has nothing to do with it. A parliamentary joint committee should be ordered to investigate this. Why PM Modi is silent?.
The announcement about the special meeting of the Parliament is now out. This may be a sign of tension for PM Modi. He was nervous when I spoke in Parliament. Because of that, my position as Member of Parliament was suddenly cancelled. The current Adani issue is very close to the Prime Minister and I think he is nervous. Whenever the Adani issue is touched upon, the Prime Minister is very uncomfortable and very nervous,” Rahul Gandhi said.
