Minister RK Roja made strong comments on Telugu Desam Party General Secretary Nara Lokesh’s comments that YSR Congress leaders should be beaten with brooms if they come to ask for votes. She asked why brooms should be used on the original YCP leaders. They protested whether they should use brooms against YCP leaders for fulfilling promises like Ammaodi, Chedodu and Asara. Should we be beaten with brooms for implementing exemplary educational policies and schemes? Is it because TDP’s failures on Dwakra loans have been exposed? He showered a barrage of questions.
Minister Roja said that Jagan’s government is waiving Rs.24,000 crore (principal + interest) of Dwakra loans in the state. He asked directly whether the public revolt should be against TDP or YCP.
Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh, who is organizing a padayatra under the name of Yuvagalam, organized a face-to-face program with women at Amararaja premises in Chittoor. Speaking on this occasion, Lokesh called on YCP leaders to beat them with brooms if they come to ask for votes. YS Jagan said that he will ask for votes only after the complete ban on alcohol.
