Renzo Schuller has been presented as the brand new host of “This is war”. For years, he and Gian Piero Díaz were one of the most united pairs of animators on Peruvian TV, as a result of their time on “Combate”. Therefore, when they distanced themselves, the fans of both were very distressed. What happened between them and what does it have to do “This is war”? Here we tell you.

The end of “Combat”

In December 2018, Gian Piero Diaz officially announced the end of “Combat”, after eight years on the air on ATV. “This is the last time you will have the opportunity to enjoy a confrontation between these two emblematic teams (Red and Green),” he said, before starting the last program.

Although many hoped that it was just a commercial strategy, the reality show never returned to the small screen. Later, the format was absorbed by “This is war” and today several of its former members make up the ‘combatants’ team.

In 2019, to the surprise of viewers, Gian Piero was presented as the new host of the América TV reality show and accompanied Mathías Brivio at that stage of the entertainment space.

Why did Renzo Schuller and Gian Piero Díaz distance themselves?

After the end of “Combate” and after years of intimate friendship, Renzo Schuller and Gian Piero Diaz they moved away and absolutely cut off all kinds of communication.

Before this event, many speculations were woven. Finally, Schuller announced that his ex-partner would never have told him that he would join the famous reality show on América TV against which they faced each other for so many years.

Just one day after Gian Piero’s presentation on “EEG”, a member of the production of “Magaly TV, la firma” contacted him on WhatsApp and wrote “Do you think we can talk to you by video call now?” Given this, the also actor replied “The truth, if it is to talk about Piero, I’d rather not.
