It is unusual to see a house that does not have a microwave in Spain And it is that new out of every ten homes have this appliance. There will be some that only use it to heat food or drinks but its use allows for more uses and you can even cook, boil or defrost food inside.
In addition to promoting the use of the microwave with its variable functions, you must be very careful with what is put into this appliance. There are objects and materials that are prohibited, such as metal things that can generate sparks, potentially creating a small explosion and rendering the appliance unusable.
The metal spoon prevents the delay in boiling the liquid
But there is an object made of this material that can be put in: metal spoons. In the new microwaves there is a sign that tells you what is allowed. You should check if your model allows it. You should look at the stickers inside or the instruction manual.
The reason they allow metal spoons to be placed in a container in the microwave is to avoid burns. Because when heating a liquid it may have reached its boiling point, the problem is that in the microwave, this boiling effect is late and the bubbles that, for example, appear in a pot do not come out. The function of the metal spoon is to prevent that late boiling from occurring, so that the liquid is heated evenly.
