For the first time in 2015, when Chandrababu Naidu was the CM of AP, Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan got membership in the governing council of TTD. On April 27 of that year, he was appointed as a member of the TTD board for the first time. After that in 2018, he did not get a place in the board. But after the Jagan government came to power in 2019, Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan got a chance in September of the same year.
In 2021, Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan did not get a place on the TTD board. But Vemireddy Prashanthi, who was a member of the board, resigned within a few days. She was appointed as the Chairman of the Delhi Local Advisory Council and was given the responsibility of the TTD temples in North India. With this, Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan was given a chance to replace Vemireddy Prashanthi. There was a campaign that Prashanthi had resigned for Krishnamurthy. Recently once again the Jagan government has taken Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan on the board of TTD. With this, there is a campaign going on that no matter who is the CM of AP, he is sure to be in the governing council of TTD. It is said that Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan was taken into TTD on the recommendation of a woman minister at the center during Chandrababu’s regime. It is being spread that he got a fourth chance as a member of TTD on the recommendation of a key minister at the Centre.
Actually there is a lot of demand for TTD governing body. From political leaders to VVIPs who can turn the wheel at the center, many feel that they should be a member of the TTD board at least once. Many are recommended by high-ranking people at the center. With this, apart from AP, people from Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra also have to be given membership in the TTD board. Earlier, CM Jagan commented that the selection of TTD board members has become more difficult than the composition of the cabinet. From this we can understand how much lobbying there is for membership in the TTD board. However, the fact that Vaidyanathan has been appointed as a member of TTD for the fourth time shows how strong a person recommended him.
In 2019, on the occasion of his in-laws’ Shashtipurthi, Krishnamurthy conducted a private Rudra Japa Hom with 60 Rutviks at the Kapila Theertham temple in Tirupati. No one except Vaidyanathan’s family was allowed to go to the home venue. Krishnamurthy said that this home was done for the welfare of the world.
These are the members of TTD.
The TTD Governing Body was recently announced with 24 members. Gaddam Sita Reddy, wife of Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy from Telangana got an opportunity this time.
