Tomorrow, the second edition of the “Taif Al-Ward” festival will be launched in the city of Taif, organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Taif Governorate, and under the patronage of the Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.
The festival activities will be held in 3 main locations over a period of 14 days, starting from Taif International Airport, whose halls will be decorated with roses with murals highlighting the culture and aesthetics of the Taif rose, in addition to decorating the main roads and squares of the governorate with rose figures, and the gates will be decorated with hanging roses.
The event will witness more than 50 live shows and performing arts in the main stage of the event and in the corridors of Al-Radf Park, in addition to the Rose Dome, which includes the largest flower painting and the largest flower basket, in addition to models and gates equipped for photography, and the “giant painting” made of natural roses.
The events also include “Abq” workshops on roses and perfumery, which aim to enable the nation’s youth to invest in this qualitative field, in addition to the “Taif Rose Journey” exhibition, and the exhibition of “Claude Monet” one of the most prominent international photographers and painters who was interested in the field of light’s impact on visuals. And the play “The Flower Seller”.
Musical concerts will also be held with the participation of a group of male and female artists, in addition to musical performances such as the “Al Fayhaa Choir” show, in addition to a display of rose music in a “medley” way, entitled “The Rose Medley”, and a variety of folk dances from all over the Kingdom.
The “Cultural Street” will include the “Art Gallery”, where a group of plastic artists will display paintings that reflect the identity of the event, in addition to farmers’ marketing of rose products, and kiosks dedicated to producing families to display their products and cooking ingredients inspired by the Taif rose.
