Wizz Air Chairman Robert Carey said in an interview with Al Arabiya that the signing of the agreement between his company and the ministries of investment and tourism in Saudi Arabia reflects the company’s interest in the aviation sector in the Kingdom, in addition to the great opportunities offered by this market.
He added that the company believes that there is a lot of potential provided by Saudi Arabia within the framework of Vision 2030.
“We will launch the first service between Dammam, Vienna, Rome and Abu Dhabi from the Kingdom, and we will continue to explore possibilities with the ministries of tourism and investment in the Kingdom, and we will provide low-cost low-cost flight services to new destinations for Saudi Arabia,” he said.
With regard to the Corona pandemic, Carey said that the Covid pandemic has greatly changed travel patterns in the region, and that travelers are turning to economic carriers as a result of the high prices.
Confirmed travel demand on Wizz Air carriers is back above pre-pandemic levels.
