They were flying from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia on Emirates Airlines.

On her way back to Ethiopia, a pregnant woman and her children arrived at Dubai Airport as part of a transit stop. The sudden pain came as the young woman and the children were worried at the airport. The Dubai police arrived to help the girl when no other women were present. The announcement was made by Maj. Gen. Ali Atiq bin Lahaj, director general of the Airport Security Department.

The girl was given first aid by nurses from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services. Latifa was later rushed to the Woman and Children’s Hospital where she was treated. They were instructed to prepare the clinic for an emergency delivery. After giving birth, she contacted her husband and was offered a chance to return to her homeland.
The Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Police and Emirates Airlines worked together. The Major General congratulated them all. In addition, the airport staff understood the situation and handled matters efficiently.
