Eta. Women attacked the revenue team and the police team that had gone to measure the fields in Nagla Mauji village of Jalesar area of Etah Kotwali. The women pulled the threadbare of the Consolidation Department team and broke it. After which, on the complaint of the accountant, a case has been registered against about half a dozen people.
In fact, on Tuesday, Chakbandi Lekhpals along with the police force reached village Gopalpur in the area to measure the farmers. But the Chakbandi and police team that went to check this irregular process had to face the anger of the farmers. The women behaved indecently and attacked the team with sickles.
The farmers, angry over the rigging done in the name of consolidation, strongly opposed the measurement. After a lot of effort, the women farmers were controlled by the Kotwali police present on the spot. Protesting against the irregularities being done by the consolidation accountants and departmental officers in the ongoing consolidation process in Etah tehsil area proved costly for the farmers of Gopalpur village.
Based on the complaint of Chakbandi Lekhpal Jaiveer Singh, a case has been registered against more than half a dozen farmers including five women and a girl by the Kotwali police team. Let us tell you that the accountant had already informed about the measurement.
