Budapest: India’s Santhosh Kumar Tamilarasan and Sarvesh Anil Kushar failed to qualify for the final round of the 400m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships.
The World Athletics Championships are being held in Budapest, Hungary. On the 2nd day yesterday, India’s Santhosh Kumar Tamilarasan participated in the third heat of the men’s 400m hurdles race. In this, Santosh Kumar Tamilarasan finished the race distance in 50.46 seconds and finished in 7th place.
Only the top 4 finishers can qualify for the semi-final round. In this way Santosh Kumar Tamilarasan left. India’s Sarvesh Anil Kushar failed to clear 2.25m in his three attempts in men’s high jump. He managed to finish 11th in the qualifying round.
India’s Avinash Sable failed to qualify for the 3000m steeplechase final on the opening day of the series. Vikash Singh, Paramjit Singh and Akashdeep Singh disappointed in the men’s 20 km race.
Much-anticipated Shaili Singh missed out on a place in the women’s long jump final. Ajay Kumar Saroj failed to attract attention in the 1,500m race. In the men’s triple jump, none of Praveen Chitravel, Eldhos Paul and Abdullah Abubakar made it to the final round.
