3 Moroccan runners failed to reach the semi-finals of the 1500 meters during the World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, from 19 to 27 August.
Runner Hisham Akankam ranked ninth in the second qualifier for the 1,500-meter race, failing to reach the semi-finals, and the same applies to Abdul Latif Al-Siddiqi in the third qualifier.
Anas Al-Saei also failed to qualify, after he finished in tenth place from the fourth and final round.
Over the past years, Morocco has won 31 medals in the World Athletics Championships, including 11 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze, won by 14 male and female runners, including Hicham El Guerrouj and Nouzha Bidwan.
