The draw, which took place today, Thursday, in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, resulted in the presence of the first Moroccan national football team, in Group E, for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
The Moroccan national team is in Group E, along with Zambia, Congo, Tanzania, Niger and Eritrea.
The 9 teams leading the groups qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup, to be held in America, Canada and Mexico.
The best 4 teams in second place will also play direct confrontations, through which the winner will qualify for the “supplement” that qualifies for the World Cup.
