The city of Warangal in Telangana has got another rare recognition. Warangal has been included in the global network of learning cities recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This matter was tweeted by Union Minister Kishan Reddy.

Union Culture and Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy tweeted on Monday night that Warangal has joined the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities. He thanked Prime Minister Modi for his continuous efforts to make India’s rich cultural heritage recognized globally. In addition, Kishan Reddy tweeted greetings to the people of Warangal and Telangana. On this, Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao expressed happiness and wished the people of Orugallu. Dayakar Rao thanked the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Minister KTR and the public representatives of the joint district for working for this recognition.
It is known that the Kakatiya Rudreswara Temple (Rampappa Temple) in Mulugu district has already been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This temple of the Kakatiyas, which is known for its wonderful architectural wealth, has been recognized as a heritage treasure. Warangal also got UNESCO recognition within a year.
