New Delhi: Sakshi Malik has categorically denied reports that leading actress Sakshi Malik has withdrawn from the women’s wrestlers’ protest.
Indian wrestlers and players are protesting against the president of the Indian Wrestling Federation and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Charan Singh. Wrestlers including Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have been fighting against Brij Bhushan Charan Singh in the capital Delhi since last April. They also tried to march towards the new Parliament to take their struggle to the next level. Because of that they were arrested by the police. They continued to throw their medals in the Ganges. They condemned the central government to take action in this regard.
In this case, Sakshi, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia met Union Home Minister Amit Shah last Saturday night. At that time, it was reported that they asked the police to take immediate action against Brij Bhushan. However, Sakshi’s husband Satyavrat Khadian said that they did not get the expected reaction from the minister. The meeting apparently took place at Minister Amit Shah’s government residence in Delhi. ‘Believe in the investigation. Amit Shah said then that the law will do its duty.
It was in this context that Sakshi Malik withdrew from the protest and internal information was released. It is noteworthy that Sakshi Malik is playing a major role in the struggle of wrestlers. If he is not there, there is a doubt as to how this struggle will go to the next stage.
In this case, “The news that I have withdrawn from the struggle is completely wrong. None of us have backed down from the struggle for justice. We will never back down. Along with the satyagraha we are carrying out in charity, I am doing my duty in the railway sector. Our struggle will continue until justice is done. Please do not spread false news. I will listen carefully,” tweeted Sakshi.
