American director Declan O’Brien, known to the world for the sequels to the horror films Wrong Turn, has died. On Sunday, April 24, according to Deadline.
He passed away on February 16 at the age of 56. The cause of his death has not been specified. Declan is survived by three children.
O’Brien knew from a young age that he would connect his life with cinema. He originally moved to California from Rochester, New York to become an actor. However, life decided otherwise, and he went to college to be a cinematographer, becoming a producer and director.
O’Brien directed such horror films as Wrong Turn 3, Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginning, Wrong Turn 5: Blood Relations. He also wrote screenplays for Wow Trip 3, Miami Eruption and other films.
