Yashaswi Jaiswal became the third youngest Indian player to score a double century in Test cricket. Jaiswal was 22 years and 37 days old when he scored a double century in the Visakhapatnam Test against England. Vinod Kambli, who scored a double century at the age of 21 years and 35 days, holds the first position in this regard.
Yashaswi Jaiswal also has the distinction of becoming the fourth arm batsman to score a double century for India in Test cricket. Vinod Kambli, Sourav Ganguly and Gautam Gambhir are the other Indian players with double centuries in Tests. In this, Vinod Kambli has scored double century twice.

Jaiswal became the fifth Indian player to score his maiden double century in the shortest innings. Jaiswal scored a double century against England in his 10th innings of Test career. Karun Nair who scored a double century in the third innings is the first in this achievement.

Yashaswi Jaiswal became the ninth Indian player to score a Test double century against England. Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Vishwanath, Vinod Kambli, Virat Kohli and Karun Nair are other Indian players who have scored a double century against England.
