Chennai: The 84th Inter-State Youth and Junior National Championship Table Tennis Tournament is being held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
On the 4th day yesterday, in the U-19 women’s singles final, Karnataka’s Yashaswini Korpade defeated Haryana’s Sukana Saini 11-8, 11-9, 7-11, 8-11, 13-11, 11-9 to win the title. .
Delhi’s Lakshita Narang and Avisha Karmakar won the U-19 women’s doubles title. Delhi’s Sayanika Majhi won the U-17 women’s singles title. In the final, Sayanika defeated Maharashtra’s Tanisha Kodecha 11-9, 11-5, 11-9, 11-3. In the U-17 women’s doubles category, Maharashtra’s Jennifer Varghese and Pritha Vartikar won the trophy.
