TDP chief Chandrababu said that YSSRCP deposit should not come in the upcoming elections in Punganur and Thambala Palli constituencies. Leaders and activists were advised to work for Peddireddy in Punganur and Dwarakanathareddy in Thamballa Palli without even getting a deposit in the coming elections. Those who now rule the kingdom with tyranny will be answered just as strongly after coming to power. Chandrababu said the focus was on preparing the party to win all 14 seats in Chittoor district.
Kondreddy’s remarks on Tamballapalle MLA caused a stir. He said that the Taliban state was running in the constituency. Harassment and insults were left to those who worked hard for the party. MLA Dwarkanath Reddy has been accused of acting like a dictator. The MLA alleged that he was illegally prosecuting those who were against him. Aavedan expressed that illegal cases are being filed against him.
TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh later backed Kondreddy. The YSSRCP leader was outraged that he had been unjustly arrested. Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy’s younger brother MLA Dwarkanath Reddy recalled that his own party leader had accused Thambalapalle of being a Taliban state. He said the reversal of the old case and the arrest of a terrorist was a testament to the factional wisdom of the YCP leaders.
