Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu has strongly condemned the attack on Venkaiah’s family in Kantheru village in Tadikonda zone of Guntur district. Chandrababu wrote a letter to DGP Rajendranath Reddy on the incident. In the letter, Chandrababu alleged that attacks by YCP cadres on critics of the government had become routine in the state. He was incensed that the YCP was terrorizing those who criticized themselves through attacks, insults, threats and killings.
Chandrababu alleged that such incidents were taking place with the help of some police officers. Chandrababu was outraged that no action had been taken so far against the YCP cadres who attacked Venkaiah on the 16th of last month for criticizing the government. Recently, it is said that now Venkaiah’s son has attacked Vamsi.
In a letter to the DGP, Chandrababu explained that Vamsi had narrowly escaped death in an attack by YCP members today. Police responded immediately and demanded protection for Venkaiah’s family. Also, it was asked to take strict action against the accused.
Also, TDP posted a video of the incident. “Although the YCP has questioned the performance of the government, it has resorted to attacks to curb corruption. The TDP has once again attacked and terrorized the Venkaiah family of Tadikonda Mandal Kanther, who had criticized the Jagan Reddy government.
