Yessenia Villanueva, who lives in the United States, has publicly shown her concern about the health of her father, the famous Peruvian comedian Melcochita. At 87 years old, Melcochita continues to work tirelessly on stage, something that her daughter considers detrimental to her well-being. In the midst of this situation, Yessenia has also taken the opportunity to defend herself against accusations that, according to her, seek to show her as a kept person.
In addition to talking about her father’s health, Yessenia did not hesitate to express her discomfort with some statements from Monserrat Seminario, Melcochita’s wife. According to the comedian’s daughter, Monserrat has suggested that her father continues to support her financially, which, in her opinion, is not true. The comedian’s daughter made it clear that since she was little she has worked for herself and does not depend on her father.
Concern for Melcochita’s health
In statements to the newspaper Trome, Yessenia Villanueva has expressed her desire for Melcochita to retire from the stage to take care of her health. The young woman assured that, despite her father’s efforts to continue working, her age no longer allows her to maintain the pace she had before. “My dad is old and shouldn’t work so much,” said Yessenia, highlighting that the family is willing to support him with whatever he needs, just like they do with his mother.
On the other hand, the conflict with Monserrat Seminario intensified when Yessenia accused the wife of Melcochita to make her look like a kept person. According to Yessenia, Monserrat always makes comments insinuating that it was Melcochita who helped her financially to be able to move to the United States, which does not reflect reality. “It makes us see ourselves as supported and since I was a child I have worked hard,” said Yessenia, highlighting that she has always been independent and that she has managed to get ahead on her own.
