The rear part of Noori Jama Masjid located in Sadar Bazar of Lalauli town, which was affected by encroachment during drain construction in Fatehpur, UP, was demolished on Tuesday morning in the presence of ADM Avinash Tripathi and ASP Vijayshankar Mishra. Went. Meanwhile, heavy police force including PAC remained alert.
The PWD department had given notice to the Masjid Committee on 24 September 2024 during the survey for the construction of a drain when Noori Jama Masjid located in Sadar Bazar of Lalauli town came under the attack of encroachment. On which the mosque committee had asked for one month’s time to remove the encroachment. In this survey, 133 houses and shops also came under encroachment.
After more than a month, on Tuesday morning the rear part of the mosque is being demolished with a bulldozer in the presence of ADM and ASP. From security point of view, revenue team was also present along with PAC and RAF police force. ASP Vijayshankar Mishra said that peace is maintained, the rear part of the mosque (Noori Jama Masjid) which was affected by encroachment is being demolished.
Noori Jama Masjid Committee Secretary Syed Noori said that a writ was filed against the notice in Allahabad High Court in which the hearing was to be held on December 13 but before that the mosque was demolished which is a disregard of the court. Earlier, the KDA squad in Kanpur had demolished illegal encroachments on plots and roads in Gangaganj Panki and Shatabdi Nagar. During this period, the squad demolished 27 illegal constructions and cut trees growing in the plot area.
