Dubai: Leading Arab YouTuber Abu Falah has closed his glass box in Dubai to raise $ 1 million for charity. Hasan Sulaiman, a vlogger with 2.2 crore YouTube subscribers, has announced that he will not leave the box without collecting this amount.
Through this challenge, the young vlogger aims to provide food and winter clothing for the millions of people who have been displaced by the wars in the countries around them. The Warm Winter Campaign to help refugees was launched as part of the UAE’s World’s Coolest Winter Tourism Project. In collaboration with this is YouTube’s Glass Box Challenge.
On January 7, Abu Falah launched his Glass Box Challenge. Within two days, it had received $ 400,000 in donations from 20,000 YouTube channel followers. He said the project would provide at least 3,000 refugees with winter food, blankets and winter clothing. He added that his aim was to bring relief to more than one lakh refugees in the Middle East. With 22 million subscribers and over 3000 crore viewers, he is bringing his majestic venture to the masses through live streaming. His comedy skits and video game shows on the YouTube channel are very popular in the Arab world.
Abu Falah said winter clothing is as important as food in the winter for millions of refugees, including children, women and the elderly, who live in limited living conditions. He urged everyone to take part in this effort to help those living in dire situations. He will help refugees in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Egypt. In collaboration with the UN Council for the Protection of Refugees, he raised $ 1 million from 31,000 individuals through a 28-hour live broadcast last October.
