Actor Posani Krishna Murali, the new chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Film Television and Theater Development Corporation (APFDC) said, “I don’t know how much good it will do for the Telugu film industry, but it will not do any harm.” Posani Krishna Murali took charge as the Chairman of APFDC on Thursday evening. He assumed office at NTR’s administrative block in Vijayawada in the presence of former AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani, MLA Malladi Vishnu, Fibernet Chairman Gautham Reddy, Lakshmi Parvathy, producers C. Kalyan and Ambika Krishna.

On this occasion, Posani Krishna Murali said, “I did not enter politics because Jaganmohan Reddy would give me this post. I have known Jaganmohan Reddy since 11 years. Even till recently I have not met him daily. I was always talking. They used to call me. I used to say that I will come.. I used to avoid. I like to look away. Because leaders are born from many castes, religions and money. Jagan Mohan Reddy is not a leader born from castes and dreams. A leader born from the masses. That’s why I like him so much.

Posani revealed that he saw the personality of Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and that’s why he befriended him. “Jaganmohan Reddy is the sweetest.. He is the hottest.. He is the honest.. He is the greatest.. Nothing but Everest. Because of such a person.. I took this post from his hands today. I don’t know how much good I will do for the film industry but I won’t do bad. I do not cheat. I will not tell lies. I will not tell my Kalyan brother, Ambika Krishna brother, Ramprasad brother that I will show them drops from the sky. Jagan Mohan Reddy will give my hand as much as I thought in my mind. I have that belief. As a guarantee I will serve. I will be with you happily. Jagan Mohan Reddy has a scar like this. From now until I die, I have nothing but Jagan, Jagan’s flag and YCP,” said Posani.

Posani Krishnamurali from Pedakakan in Guntur district entered the film industry as a dialogue writer. Posani, who worked as an assistant writer for Paruchuri Brothers, wrote the words for the film ‘Gaayam’ for the first time. After that, he provided story and words for the films of star heroes like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh. He got a hit as a director with the movie ‘Operation Duryodhana’. While continuing as a writer, he also took steps towards acting. He got a good reputation as a comedian and comedy villain.

Looking at his political journey, Posani joined the Praja Rajyam Party founded by Megastar Chiranjeevi. He contested the assembly elections on behalf of that party and lost. After that he joined YSR Congress party. They have stood in support of Jagan since his padayatra. YS Jagan, who recognized Posani’s services, finally gave him the post.
