Zac Efron rose to fame in 2006 with the movie “High School Musical.” Since then, he has tried to play increasingly serious and adult roles. For this reason, he has released the tape “Firestarter”, which has made him reflect on fatherhood and his feelings about it.
Efron has tried to shed the leading man roles that made him an international figure. And it is that titles like “
17 again”, “Good Neighbors”, “When I find you” and “Baywatch” turned him into a star of Hollywood.

However, in recent years, he has explored more mature roles, such as the lead in “
sleeping with the killer” and his last participation in the film “ Firestarter”, which is the film adaptation of one of the novels by the writer Stephen King.
In the film, the American actor plays Andy McGee, a father who will do anything to protect his daughter from a secret government agency that wants to capture her to use the little girl’s powers.
Unlike the girl who was born with her powers, the father (Efron) and mother (Sydney Lemmon), who also have telekinetic powers, were the victims of a clinical trial experimented on by them. Photo: Universal Pictures.
Does Zac Efron want to be a father?
This is the first time that Efron has played a father on the big screen, something that led him to reflect deeply on the subject and his aspirations to have a child in the future.
“I think it was a good dose to dissuade me (from not being a dad) for as long as it takes. I probably have to mature a little more. I do not know. I don’t know what to say now,” said the remembered Troy Bolton of “High School Musical.”

The interpreter confessed that he felt quite overwhelmed with the prospect of having another person who depended entirely on him.
“Suddenly, I had this daughter in front of me. We had a pretty heavy father-daughter scene from the beginning and I realized that I was drastically under-prepared for this character. I didn’t know what he was doing,” Zac confessed.
Despite this, the actor highlighted the figure of his young 12-year-old co-star,
Ryan Kiera Armstrongwho was his rock throughout the shoot.
“Luckily Ryan is so sweet, she’s the coolest. After two days, we had the best bond, so that part became really easy,” Efron said.
