The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority called on taxpayers from the business sector subject to withholding tax in the Kingdom to submit their tax returns for the month of last April, no later than May 10, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.
The authority urged its taxpayers to submit their tax returns quickly through its website (zatca.gov.sa), in order to avoid a fine for default within the specified period, at the rate of 1% of the unpaid tax for each thirty days delay from the due date.
“Zakat, Tax and Customs” called on taxpayers from the business sector wishing to obtain more information regarding withholding tax to contact it through the unified number for the call center (19993), which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or the account “Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs.” On Twitter (@Zatca_Care), e-mail (info@zatca.gov.sa), or through instant conversations via the website (zatca.gov.sa).
Withholding tax is one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom that is deducted from the total income of a non-resident establishment in the Kingdom, in return for services it provides inside the Kingdom, in accordance with the rates specified in Article 63 of the Income Tax Law Regulations.
